Sonia Martinez Gonzalez

Sonia Martinez Gonzalez has extensive experience in medicinal chemistry, having worked at CNIO since October 2008 as the Head of Section Medicinal Chemistry. Prior to this role, Sonia served as a Senior Scientist in the Medicinal Chemistry Department at Johnson & Johnson PRD from December 1998 to October 2008, and as Head of Laboratory at Roviall Química from October 1997 to October 1998. Sonia's academic background includes a PhD in Organic Chemistry focused on antifungals from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, completed between 1993 and 1997, and earlier studies in organic chemistry at Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas.
