Donna Laird has a diverse work experience in the field of quality assurance and biochemistry. Donna started their career with Merck in 1990 and held various roles including Senior Research Biochemist and Quality Assurance Specialist. During their time at Merck, they worked on global vaccine technology and engineering projects, served as a liaison between research and manufacturing, and gained experience in analytical assays and process parameter validation.
In 2014, Donna joined Spark Therapeutics as a Quality Assurance Specialist, where they helped develop Quality Management Systems for the newly launched biotechnology company. Donna later became a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, providing guidance and support to Pre-Clinical Operations and working on process and assay validation. Currently, they hold the role of Quality Assurance Lead, overseeing GLP and continuing to contribute to the development of the company's QMS.
Throughout their career, Donna has demonstrated their ability to handle diverse needs and work in a flexible environment. Their work in quality assurance and biochemistry has contributed to groundbreaking advancements in genetic disease treatment and vaccine technology.
Donna Laird has a BS degree in Biology and Medical Technology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. Donna also holds a degree in Clinical Laboratory Medicine, MT.ASCP, from York Hospital School of Medical Technology.
