John Spaltro

John Spaltro, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of global regulatory affairs and strategic development of biotechnology and advanced therapeutics. John has held senior-level positions in various pharmaceutical and biotech companies, including Spark Therapeutics, Amicus Therapeutics, Bracco Diagnostics Inc, Covance, Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, Merck, Johnson & Johnson, National Cancer Institute, and BIORELIANCE CORPORATION. Their roles have involved working with key opinion leaders, advisory boards, and global regulatory authorities to expedite the development of breakthrough therapies for rare diseases and areas of unmet medical need. John has a strong technical background in clinical, nonclinical, and CMC development, with expertise in biologics, gene therapy, cellular therapy products, combination products, companion diagnostics, and medical devices.

John Spaltro, Ph.D. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Villanova University from 1977 to 1981. John went on to obtain their Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Lehigh University from 1981 to 1985.
