Edward Healy

Edward Healy is a Senior Process Sciences Engineer at Spark Therapeutics, Inc., leading a team of over 30 members in the tech transfer of an AAV clinical asset for GMP manufacturing. Prior to this role, Edward served as an MS&T Process Scientist/Engineer, focusing on clinical GMP operations and tech transfer with an external CMO. Edward's experience at Merck includes roles as a Scientist and Associate Scientist in Vaccine Process Development, where expertise in nuclease optimization and chromatography was demonstrated. Earlier experience includes a Technical Operations Internship and a Research Assistant position at Carnegie Mellon University, alongside a background in safety as a Lifeguard and a fellowship at Allegheny Health Network. Edward holds a Master of Science in Biochemical Engineering from Villanova University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
