Gregory Severino

Associate Director, QC Early Phase Clinical Programs at Spark Therapeutics

Gregory Severino, M.S. has extensive experience in quality control and laboratory roles in the biopharmaceutical industry. Gregory has worked at Spark Therapeutics, Inc. since 2015, starting as a Quality Control Analyst and progressing to roles such as Senior Quality Control Specialist and QC Compliance and Training Lead. In these positions, they were responsible for GMP testing, ensuring compliance with regulations, performing investigations, and driving implementation of corrective actions. Prior to their work at Spark Therapeutics, Inc., Severino worked at WuXi AppTec as a Senior Laboratory Scientist and Associate Scientist, where they gained experience in cell manufacturing and virology operations. Gregory also worked at the National Disease Research Interchange as a Rare Disease Research Coordinator, studying rare diseases and coordinating research efforts. Earlier in their career, they worked at Synergixx as a Quality Assurance Lead and Sales Representative, where they trained representatives, monitored calls, and sold natural supplements.

Gregory Severino, M.S. received a High School Diploma from Girard Academic Music Program. Later, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Rutgers University - Camden in 2009-2005. Gregory then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Rutgers University - Camden from 2009 to 2011. In 2016, Gregory obtained an Executive Certificate in Project Management, PMP from Rutgers University.
