Joseph Paradiso

Joseph Paradiso, MBA, CSP has extensive experience in the field of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security. Joseph is currently serving as the VP and Head of Environmental, Health, Safety & Security at Spark Therapeutics, Inc. Prior to this role, they worked at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (now AstaZeneca) as the Director of Global Environment Health Safety.

Joseph also has a significant tenure at Forest Laboratories (now AbbVie), where they held the position of Director of Corporate Environmental Health & Safety and Real Estate. In this role, they implemented global EHS and Real Estate policies, promoted a culture of continuous improvement and regulatory compliance, and led the implementation of a risk-based approach for preventing workplace exposures to potent pharmaceutical compounds.

Before joining Forest Laboratories, Joseph worked at MITEQ Inc as the Manager of Corporate Environmental Health and Safety. During their time there, they gained valuable experience in managing EHS protocols and ensuring a safe working environment.

Throughout their career, Joseph Paradiso has consistently demonstrated their expertise in EHS management, risk assessment, and creating a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.

Joseph Paradiso has a Master of Business Administration in Corporate Finance from Dowling College, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Anthropology from SUNY Oneonta. Joseph also has a certification as a Certified Safety Professional from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, obtained in December 2013. Joseph has also pursued studies in Technology & Society, specifically in Environmental and Waste Management, from Stony Brook University.
