Sambuddha Basu, Ph.D., is a seasoned research scientist currently serving as a Sr. Research Scientist in the CNS department at Spark Therapeutics, Inc. since August 2019, where responsibilities include leading pre-clinical research programs focused on the translational efficacy of novel gene-therapy targets for neurodegenerative diseases. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Scientist and Senior Research Associate at the National Institutes of Health, where Sambuddha Basu supervised research projects investigating DNA damage and Alzheimer's disease, and as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of Central Florida, focusing on the translational efficacy of a novel drug in Parkinson's disease.
