Saúl Calderón Ramírez has a diverse and extensive work experience. Saúl currently holds the position of Data Science Manager at Spartan Approach since December 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Professor at Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, where they also served as the Coordinator of the PAttern Recognition and MAchine Learning Group. Additionally, they pursued a Ph.D. in Computer Science at De Montfort University, specializing in deep, semi, and unsupervised learning techniques, as well as model uncertainty and robustness analysis.
Before their academic career, Saúl worked as a Software Engineer at Search Technologies for a brief period. Saúl began their professional journey as a student at Universidad de Costa Rica, where they completed their undergraduate studies. Saúl also worked as a Researcher at the Image Processing and Computer Vision Group and the Centro Nacional de Alta Tecnología (CENAT), focusing on innovative image processing, pattern recognition, and tracking techniques.
