Bill Naughton

Bill Naughton has extensive experience in the field of internal audit. Bill has been with SpartanNash since 2007, initially serving as a Corporate Audit Manager and later as the Corporate Internal Audit Director. In these roles, they were responsible for conducting operational audits, strengthening internal controls, and improving operational processes. Bill also acted as a liaison for operations during project implementation. Apart from their work at SpartanNash, Bill was a Consultant at Jefferson Wells from 2005 to 2007, where they performed Sarbanes-Oxley audit reviews and developed remediation plans. Bill was also a Regional Audit Manager at Business Strategy, Inc. from 1998 to 2005, where they worked on document imaging solutions and performed process reviews. Prior to that, at First of America Bank, Bill served as an Audit Manager for Deposit Operations and Human Resources from 1985 to 1998, managing audits and internal controls for various processes. Bill also participated as an advisor on procedure committees. Additionally, Bill was a member of IIA Western Michigan from 1985 to 2010. Since 2018, they have returned to SpartanNash as the Corporate Internal Audit Director.

Bill Naughton attended Kent State University from 1976 to 1981, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Computer Science.
