William Getschow

William Getschow has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. William is currently the General Counsel at Specialty1 Partners, a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to this, from April 2021 to June 2022, they served as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Arena Energy, LLC.

William'sprevious role was as EVP, General Counsel & Secretary at Bruin Purchaser LLC, where they worked from September 2017 to May 2021. In this position, they were responsible for handling various legal matters including M&A, Capital Markets, Debt Finance, Infrastructure, Native American Law, Regulatory and Compliance. William also oversaw land, regulatory, procurement, and human resources groups.

Before joining Bruin Purchaser LLC, William gained experience as an Assistant General Counsel at Fieldwood Energy LLC from November 2013 to September 2017. William also worked as an Attorney at Apache Corporation from November 2010 to November 2013.

Prior to their roles in the energy industry, William worked as a Corporate Counsel at Diamond Offshore from 2009 to 2010, as an Associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP from 2007 to 2009, and as an Associate at Beck, Redden & Secrest, L.L.P. from 2006 to 2007.

William began their career at JP Morgan Chase, where they served as an Associate Relationship Manager from 2000 to 2004.

William Getschow earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin in 1999. William then pursued a Master's in Business Administration with a focus on Finance at the University of St. Thomas (TX) from 2001 to 2003. Following this, they attended Loyola University New Orleans College of Law for a year from 2003 to 2004. Finally, they completed their education at The University of Texas School of Law, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (JD) degree between 2004 and 2006.
