Steve Town

Steve Town’s expertise in Information Technology spans more than 25 years. Today, Steve is the head of Spectra’s global sales leadership team that helps its customers achieve their information technology modernization ambitions, which include the incorporation of public cloud into data management strategies.

Steve rejoined Spectra Logic in 2020 as a sales leader tasked with expanding the reach of Spectra’s emerging solutions to help customers leverage their data in a hybrid cloud world. In addition to driving sales process enhancements, he contributes to strategies in market positioning and product development.

Between his first stretch at Spectra Logic in 1996 and his return in 2020, Steve worked at some of the leading IT organizations in the world. Most recently he was in sales leadership at Dell EMC where he transformed an enterprise sales organization from its traditional focus on hardware to one that is software-centric to meet the evolving needs of customers in an increasingly hybrid cloud world.

Steve began his IT career working at one of Spectra Logic’s San Diego-based channel partners shortly after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, San Diego.
