John Houser, MBA, SAFe®5 Program Consultant,PMI-ACP,PMP

John Houser, MBA, SAFe®6 Program Consultant, PMI-ACP, PMP has extensive experience in project management and agile transformation. John served as the Director of Agile Transformation/Agile Office at Spectrum Medical Group, where they developed and implemented both the Project Management Office (PMO) and Agile Project Management Office (APMO). John worked closely with the C-suite to create a roadmap for the PMO/APMO and provided coaching to executives, leaders, scrum masters, product owners, and teams during the agile transformation. John served as a Release Train Engineer (RTE), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), and Agile Coach during this time.

John also has experience as a part-time Lecturer at Northeastern University and an Adjunct Instructor at Husson University.

Prior to their roles in education, John held various positions at Fairchild Semiconductor. As the Director of Supply Chain Management, they were responsible for delivering $850M in annual revenue in multiple product lines. John collaborated with senior management and various departments to achieve business goals and mentor the business planning team. John also served as a Program Director, Senior Program Manager, and Program Manager, leading critical finance projects and software implementations. John emphasized agile concepts and tools, negotiated with stakeholders, and successfully managed multi-million dollar projects.

In their early career, John served as a Project Manager and IT Team Leader, overseeing cross-functional teams and large-scale implementations, including an advanced planning system and a customer ordering and delivery process for a significant acquisition.

With their diverse work experience and certifications, John Houser is a seasoned professional in project management, agile transformation, and supply chain management.

John Houser has an MBA from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee with a focus on Business. John also holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Southern Maine. In terms of additional certifications, John has obtained the SAFe® Remote Trainer certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in October 2020. John also holds the ITIL-Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice obtained in November 2018, and the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the International Association for Six Sigma Certification / SimpliLearn obtained in January 2016. Furthermore, John obtained the CSCP certification from APICS in December 2005 and the PMP certification from the Project Management Institute in May 2003. Currently, they are working towards obtaining the Certified SAFe® 6 Practice Consultant certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in March 2023. John also has additional certifications pending, including the Balanced Scorecard Professional (BSP), Certified SAFe® 4 Program Consultant (SPC), Certified SAFe® 5 Program Consultant (SPC), and PMI-ACP certification from the Project Management Institute.
