Darius Alavi

Darius Alavi has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Darius started their career as a Full-stack Developer at New Media Interactive Solutions in 2007, where they worked until 2009. Darius then joined Pearson as a Lead Developer from 2009 to 2012. Following that, they owned and served as CEO of Nexus Web Studio from 2012 to 2013. Darius joined Spectrum in 2013 and held various positions, including Principal Software Engineer, Senior Manager of Software Development, Director of Software Development, and Sr. Director of Software Development, before eventually being promoted to Vice President of Video Software Development in 2022. Alongside their professional career, Darius has also been involved with the University of Colorado Denver Business School, where they have served as a Guest Lecturer in 2021 and as a Member of the Information Systems Advisory Council and Leadership Panelist in 2022.

Darius Alavi holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Colorado Denver, which they obtained from 2016 to 2019. Darius also earned a Masters of Science in Information Systems with a specialization in Mobile and Web Computing from the same university from 2009 to 2012. Darius completed the NAMIC Executive Leadership Development Program, offered at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, in 2018 and 2019. Additionally, they attained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English, focusing on Professional, Technical, Business, and Scientific Writing, from the University of Colorado Denver from 2002 to 2007.
