John Hughes is a Principal ML Engineer at Speechmatics, leading R&D projects and strategic partnerships to create seamless voice assistants. John also served as the Accuracy Team Lead at Speechmatics, contributing to the development of accurate speech-to-text technology. Currently a Contractor at Anthropic, John is involved in LLM research. John has a strong foundation in AGI safety research and has diverse internship experiences in tech companies like Cambridge Consultants, Eseye, and BT. John holds a Master's Degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
