Dr. Matthias Bucher

Dr. Matthias Bucher currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for HIL Systems and Head of Project Management at Speedgoat since February 2020. Prior to this role, Dr. Bucher was Group Leader at FHO University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland from January 2015 to February 2020, managing a team of engineers in R&D project development, while also engaging in stakeholder and financial management, as well as teaching. A scientific researcher at ETH Zurich from 2011 to 2014, Dr. Bucher focused on transient fault currents in HVDC networks. Dr. Bucher has also contributed to projects at Alstom Power and ABB, with early internships at Avataris AG. Dr. Bucher's academic background includes a PhD in High Voltage Engineering and a Master of Advanced Studies in Management, Technology, and Economics, all from ETH Zürich.
