Melissa Ragsdale

Melissa Ragsdale has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Melissa started their career in 2014 as a Trade Publicity Intern at W. W. Norton & Company, Inc. and then worked as a Bookseller at Barnes & Noble. In 2015, they became an Online Contributor and Book Reviewer at Fox Hunting (Foxing Quarterly) and also held roles at Electric Literature, including Editorial Intern and Reader. Melissa then joined Housing Works as an Events Assistant in 2016.

In 2015, Melissa began working at Bustle as a Books Features Writer, where they wrote weekly features articles and author interviews and curated the monthly fiction preview for the website's 50 million readers. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Communications Associate at the Center for Urban Community Services | CUCS.

Melissa then joined Verblio in 2020 and held several roles, including Professional Services Editor / Account Manager, Operations Associate in Professional Services, and Manager of Professional Services. Melissa left Verblio in 2023 to join Spektrix as a Marketing Content Producer.

Melissa Ragsdale attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
