Johan Claassen

Johan Claassen has extensive work experience in various managerial roles. Johan is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Spencer Technologies since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Diversified from 2019 to 2022, where they had overall responsibility for operations and managed a team of more than 2,500 employees globally.

Before joining Diversified, Johan held several leadership positions at Emerson Automation Solutions. Johan served as the Vice President Global Lifecycle Services from 2018 to 2019, Vice President of Global Lifecycle Services Operations from 2016 to 2018, and Director of Global Field Service Operations from 2012 to 2016. In these roles, they oversaw the development and buildup of Emerson's lifecycle services globally and was responsible for various operational teams.

Johan also worked as the Sales Director for Asset Optimization in the Middle East and Africa region at Emerson from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, they served as the Business Development Manager for Asset and Reliability Consulting Services for Europe and the Middle East Africa from 2007 to 2010.

Before joining Emerson, Johan worked for Sasol Chemical Industries in South Africa for 13 years. Johan held various positions in Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance and was part of the commissioning team for starting up plants in Sasolburg, South Africa.

Johan Claassen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria between 1989 and 1995. Prior to that, between 1985 and 1989, they attended Sasolburg High School. Johan also obtained a certification as a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional from the Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals in October 2007.
