Joe Wardell

Joe Wardell has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Joe is currently working at Spendesk as the Director of Engineering Foundations, overseeing infrastructure, data, and IT. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Infrastructure at Spendesk as well. Before joining Spendesk, Joe worked at Bloom & Wild as the Director of Platform Operations and Head of Platform Operations. Joe was responsible for managing platform operations at Treatwell as the Platform Lead. At MOO, Joe worked as the Engineering Manager for Platform Operations, where they led the migration of the infrastructure to AWS and introduced platform tools for observability. Joe also worked as the Lead Developer and Senior Developer at MOO, and as a Senior Software Developer at sharpcloud Ltd. Their early career involved working as a Consultant at Microsoft.

Joe Wardell attended Aberystwyth University from 2002 to 2007, where they earned a 1st class MEng (Hons) degree in Software Engineering.
