Alvin TAN

Alvin Tan has a diverse work experience in the Packaging industry. Alvin began their career in 2001 as a Business Development Manager at Regent Resources Pte Ltd, specializing in sourcing and trading plastic film packaging products. In 2010, they founded Regent Packaging Pte Ltd, where they served as the Managing Director, providing product development services and designing private label assortments for major online retailers. Alvin also founded and managed Thirst Lifestyle Marketing (TLM), an exclusive distributor of Bfooding food service products in Singapore and other Asian markets. In 2018, Alvin became the Chief Operating Officer at Sphere Consumer Products Asia Pte Ltd, contributing to the company's operations. Throughout their career, Alvin consistently emphasized sustainable solutions, increasing offerings of recycled materials and bioplastics in their businesses.

Alvin Tan's education history includes a Certificate of Achievement in Introduction To ESG And Carbon Footprint Management from the Singapore Institute of Management, obtained in 2023. Alvin also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Cal State East Bay- College of Business & Economics, earned from 2000 to 2002. Before their MBA, they completed a BA degree in International Business from Washington State University - College of Business and Economics, from 1994 to 1996.

In addition to their formal education, Alvin Tan has obtained various certifications. These include certifications in areas such as carbon and climate, behavioral science in policy and the environment, business analysis, green skills gap, decarbonization for business, sustainable supply chains, generative AI, tech-driven sustainability, artificial intelligence, strategic business analysis, sustainability strategies, sustainable development goals (SDG) tech solutions, sustainable and ESG supply chains, trade and circular economy, generative AI, corporate finance with an ESG focus, introduction to ESG, and navigating environmental sustainability. These certifications were earned from LinkedIn, United Nations ESCAP, The Carbon Trust, and the World Trade Organization, all obtained in June 2023, except for three certifications earned in May 2023.
