Joshua Lewis has diverse work experience, starting from their role as Software Lead at FIRST on Team 3310 in 2016. In 2019, they attended the Google Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI) as a student where they helped design PokeHood, a program that simulated the old Pokemon game, along with two other partners. During their internship at Google in 2020, they worked with four software engineers to develop Overnightly, an app that algorithmically finds a place to stay based on given locations, suggests places based on filters, and plans the optimal itinerary for the day. Later in 2021, they interned at Google again, working with three software engineers where they designed a front-end UI to optimize app efficiency that improves battery management. Joshua then joined Apple in 2022 as a Software Engineer Intern where they improved an internal web tool using languages like Ruby and JavaScript. Most recently, they joined STEMCYCLES in 2021 as a Founder, creating a non-profit organization focused on providing STEM teaching and training to underrepresented students.
Joshua Lewis received their high school diploma from Rockwall-Heath High School in 2019, and prior to that attended Destrehan High School from 2015 to 2018. Joshua is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Xavier University of Louisiana, which they are projected to complete in 2023.
