As Senior Director of Leadership, Abigayl Venman is responsible for the planning and execution of the annual epicenter for artists and leaders in diversity, SphinxConnect. Additionally, she leads Sphinx LEAD, Sphinx Venture Fund, Sphinx’s Medals of Excellence program, MPower Artist Grants, and Sphinx Tank.
Ms. Venman was selected as one of Musical America’s Top Professionals of the Year. Before joining the Sphinx team, Ms. Venman launched her career in arts administration in New York City. Most recently she served as the Associate Administrative Director in the Ellen and James S. Marcus Institute for Vocal Arts at The Juilliard School. Prior to that, she held positions with Opus 3 Artists, an artists management firm, and Carl Fischer LLC, a classical music publisher. Originally from Michigan, Ms. Venman earned degrees from Northwestern University (B.M. with honors and a certificate in musical theatre) and Southern Methodist University (M.M.).
