Matt Alford has a diverse and extensive work experience. Matt is currently the Vice President of Brand Design at Spin Master since 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Director of Brand Design at Spin Master from 2021 to 2023.

Before joining Spin Master, they worked as a Creative Consultant/Contractor at Alford Consultancy from 2020 to 2021. Matt has over a decade of experience leading design teams in the CPG industry, specializing in brand strategies, creative briefs, cost savings, design reviews, and competitive analysis.

From 2019 to 2021, Matt Alford was the Creative Director at Brit's Kitchen, where they created amazing bites for small offices and specialized in real estate showings and small office get-togethers.

From 2017 to 2019, they worked at Mattel, Inc. as the Senior Director of Global Creative Development, where they focused on managing licensed partner relationships and developing approval processes. Matt also grew sales from $700 million to $1 billion.

Prior to that, Matt Alford held several roles at Mattel, Inc. from 2011 to 2017, including Vice President of Global Creative Development and Senior Director of Global Creative Development. In these roles, they led a $1.8 billion global P&L and managed a staff of 65 with 8 direct reports. Matt also oversaw branding and packaging for various product lines.

Earlier in their career, they worked as the Senior Manager of Boys Entertainment Packaging at Mattel from 2007 to 2011. Before that, they owned their own design company, Alford Designs, from 2005 to 2008, where they provided brand identity and creative materials for various clients.

Matt Alford started their career as an Art Director at TOKYOPOP from 2000 to 2005, where they oversaw a team of designers and worked on various publishing and DVD releases. Prior to that, they worked as a Graphic Designer at Z. Cavaricci from 1997 to 2000, where they designed graphics and branding for a fashion company. Matt began their design career at Office Max in 1996, where they worked as a Designer/Desktop Publisher and designed various promotional materials.

Matt Alford attended California State University, Fullerton from 1995 to 1997, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a focus on Creative Advertising.
