Kunal Modi

Kunal Modi has a diverse work experience starting from their role as an Intern at PacketTrap Networks in 2009. Kunal then worked as an Engineering Intern at Qualcomm in 2010 before joining Berkeley Consulting as a Consultant, where they focused on extending the reach of commercial and enterprise software to mobile devices.

In 2011, Kunal co-founded Thirst Labs and served as the CTO. Kunal then joined Facebook in 2013 as a Staff Software Engineer & Tech Lead, where they played a significant role in developing Live Video features and making watching live videos more social.

In 2019, Kunal joined Airbnb as an Engineering Manager. Kunal led a full-stack engineering team in developing Airbnb's Homepage, Merchandising, and Category launch strategy. Notable projects included the Olympics Virtual Festival and a complete redesign of the Homepage. Kunal later transitioned to the role of Engineering Manager, Airbnb Experiences Growth.

Kunal became a Founder Fellow at On Deck in December 2020 and later joined South Park Commons as a Founder Fellow in 2021. In 2021, they also served as an Advisor at Flume.

Kunal'smost recent work experience is at Spindl, where they hold the position of CTO since October 2022.
