Julien Clin

Director of biomedical engineering at Spinologics Inc.

Julien Clin has extensive work experience in the field of biomedical engineering and biomechanical simulations. Julien currently serves as the Director of Biomechanical R&D Simulations at Numalogics Inc, a subdivision of Spinologics Inc. In this role, they are responsible for leading the development and growth of the department. Prior to this, Julien worked at Spinologics Inc as the Director of Biomedical Engineering, where they focused on developing complex finite element models and optimizing medical devices using biomechanical simulations. Additionally, they have worked at École Polytechnique de Montréal as a Researcher, where they developed the BraceSim software for simulating the installation of brace designs on scoliotic patients. Julien also conducted research on optimizing spinal implants through finite element models and worked as a Lecturer. Julien completed their Ph.D. in Optimization of the Brace Treatment of Idiopathic Scoliosis.

Julien Clin's education history begins in 1999 when they attended École Polytechnique and pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Julien completed this program in 2002. Following their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at Polytechnique Montréal from 2002 to 2004, obtaining a Master of Applied Sciences degree in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering. Julien then continued their academic journey at the same institution and pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering from 2004 to 2010.
