Alex Novikov

Alex Novikov has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Alex most recently served as the Head of Engineering at Spiral Scout, a custom software development and design company. Prior to that, they were the Chief Technology Officer at Wowworks GMBH. Alex also held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Spiral Scout from 2019 to 2022, where they provided technical leadership and was involved in various tasks such as decomposing projects, estimating costs, and communicating with clients. Alex also worked as a Solution Architect at Spiral Scout during this period, where they set up new projects, created project documentation, and chose technology stacks.

Before joining Spiral Scout, Alex worked at EPAM Systems, where they held the roles of Lead Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. In these roles, they contributed to the development of a video hosting and streaming service, implemented a data migration system, and resolved issues related to large file web uploads.

Prior to EPAM Systems, Alex worked at Wowworks as a Senior PHP Developer, where they played a crucial role in transforming a monolithic application into several independent ones. Alex also worked at Boomerango Inc., a game development and publishing company, as a PHP Developer and AngularJS developer.

Early in their career, Alex worked at WebZavod as a Middle Fullstack Developer, where they developed a web application and REST services for mobile applications. Alex also integrated web services during their time there. Additionally, they worked at Expertpromotion as a Junior Fullstack Developer, focusing on website and web application development using content management systems.

Alex Novikov completed their education from 2009 to 2016 at Samarskiy Gosudarstvennyy Aehrokosmicheskiy Universitet, where they obtained a Specialist degree in Computer Science and Engineering. In 2024, they also successfully completed the "CTO:201" certification from Stratoplan Management School.
