Matthew Schupbach

Matthew Schupbach has over 20 years of work experience in various financial and leadership roles. Their most recent position was as the Corporate Vice President Accounting at Spire Hospitality starting in 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Corporate Vice President Finance & Analytics at Dimension Development from 2015 to 2022, where they were responsible for managing over 80 properties and leading a team of over 5,000 employees. Before joining Dimension Development, Matthew worked as the Interim Chief Financial Officer at ANECA Federal Credit Union in 2014. From 2010 to 2014, they served as the Regional Vice President of Finance and Analytics at Caesars Entertainment Corporation, and prior to that, they held various roles including Regional Director of Planning & Analysis and Planning & Analysis Manager within the same organization. Matthew also has teaching experience as a Master Instructor at Central Texas College from 2003 to 2005, where they taught business classes and refined their communication skills. Matthew began their career as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Texas A&M University from 2000 to 2002.

Matthew Schupbach holds a Certificate in Strategy Execution from Harvard Business School Online, which they obtained in 2021. Prior to that, they earned an M.A. in Economics from Texas A&M University, completing their studies between 2000 and 2002. Matthew obtained their B.S. in Economics from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Matthew also has additional certifications, including Excel: Advanced Formulas and Functions from LinkedIn (expected to be obtained in 2024), Certified Hotel Accountant Executive from Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (obtained in 2018), and Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics from AHLEI - American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.
