Ken Tarmas

Ken Tarmas has extensive experience in product management and leadership roles. Ken currently serves as the VP of Product Management, Platform and Devices at Spireon since 2018. Previously, Ken worked at Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (formerly TCS) from 2013 to 2018, where they held the position of Sr. Director of Product Management, Mobile Applications & Data Services. In this role, they were responsible for managing product strategy and marketing for mobile applications and Data-as-a-Service offering. Before that, Ken worked at The Active Network from 2010 to 2013 as the Group Product Manager, Consumer Products. Ken played a vital role in product strategy, roadmap, and execution for various cloud-based consumer applications. Prior to that, Ken served as Principal at Appareo Online Advertising from 2009 to 2010. Ken also has a strong background in product management at Yahoo Inc., where they worked from 2004 to 2010. Ken had two roles during their time at Yahoo, starting as the Sr. Director Product Management, Ad Solutions and later becoming the Sr. Director Partner Management, Entertainment. Ken's earlier experience includes working as the Sr. Director Technical Alliances at Musicmatch Inc. from 2002 to 2004, and as the Director, Technology Alliances at Peregrine Systems Inc. from 1999 to 2002. Ken began their career as the Sr. Product Manager at Filenet Corp. from 1990 to 1998, where they were responsible for the full product lifecycle of an enterprise software application.

Ken Tarmas completed their education in a chronological manner. Ken first attended UC Irvine from 1978 to 1982, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. During this time, they focused on the fields of Music and Electrical Engineering.

Later, from 1992 to 1995, Ken pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the USC Marshall School of Business. Ken specialized in Marketing and Entrepreneurship while studying at this institution.
