Luis Valles

Luis Valles is a computer scientist with over 25 years of experience in developing new technologies and has spent 9 years in executive roles leading technology teams. He brings a diverse and extensive technical experience from a variety of technology companies, both in the Fortune 500 and start-ups. He recently led the team in Semantic AI and architected some of the major components that materialized in one of the most sophisticated investigation software systems in the market. Prior to that he brought to fruition a big data platform that was eventually acquired by FemTec Health. In the mid-2000 Mr. Valles built his own NLP technology company that was eventually sold to SiteVoice Inc. in 2012. Moreover, Mr. Valles spent 12 years as a data warehouse architect for companies like Choice Hotels, the New Zealand Ministry of Health, and others. He has over 20 years of experience writing Java code and has in-depth expertise in Postgres, Greenplum, Cassandra, Netezza, SQL Server, Solr, Informix and Sybase. He also has an extensive background in AI and NLP and is the owner of a few patents in the field. Mr. Valles holds an MS in Computer Science from Arizona State University and a BA in Computer Science from Weber State University.
