Jenny brings more than 15 years of experience in strategic communication, nonprofit advocacy, politics, and public affairs, as well as a contagious enthusiasm for her work at Spitfire. Driven by the difference educators made in her own life and her experiences as the mother of a 4-year-old, Jenny focuses much of her work collaborating with clients to improve education and better support families.
Relationship building is at the center of everything Jenny does. Whether she’s providing strategic counsel to a client, working closely with the media to help shape a story, or facilitating a coalition meeting, Jenny takes the time to understand the individual needs of those she’s working with and responds carefully. She brings this philosophy to her work with her clients.
Jenny’s portfolio at Spitfire spans early learning, K-12, and higher education. While she speaks Edu-wonk, she’s constantly working with her clients to translate complex information into accessible and compelling messages. Jenny is particularly energized by working with clients on their brand strategy to capture and communicate the essence of their organization – the core ideas that they live by and actualize. She’s happiest when she’s coaching her clients and seeing them become sharper communicators. Right now, she’s geeking out as she learns more about the power and importance of values-based and asset-based messages to move audiences to action.
