Richie Whitt

Richie Whitt is an experienced journalist with a diverse background in sports writing and broadcasting. Currently serving as a Senior Writer at Sports Illustrated since January 2019 and as a Senior Writer and Sports Columnist for the Dallas Observer since September 2004, Whitt has established a strong presence in sports media. Additionally, Whitt holds the position of Senior Consultant at ON-AIR MEDIA since 2017 and has previously worked as a Blogger and TV Analyst for NBCUniversal from August 2013 to August 2016, as well as a Radio Host at CBS Radio from January 2009 to April 2013. Whitt began a career in journalism as a Sportswriter for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram from May 1986 to August 2004. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from The University of Texas at Arlington, obtained between 1982 and 1986, alongside attendance at Duncanville High School from 1979 to 1982.
