Matthew Schwirtz

Matthew Schwirtz has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Matthew started their career as an Estimator at Rockingham-Lunex Co. in 1988 and then served as a General Manager at Assemblers, Inc. for over 10 years. At Assemblers, Inc., they were responsible for overseeing production and sales of sand and gravel dredges, including sales, design, purchasing, production, and installation.

Schwirtz then moved on to Total Maintenance Inc. in 2001, where they worked as a Residential Sales Manager for a year. From 2002 to 2010, they served as the Vice President of Operations at Douglas Industries, Inc., a sports equipment manufacturing company. In this role, they managed all production components, including scheduling, hiring, quality control, inventory control, shipping and receiving, safety programs, and maintenance. Matthew also worked with overseas suppliers and was well-versed in SAP.

In 2010, Schwirtz became the Owner and Consultant at Quad City Industrial Solutions, LLC, where they started their own manufacturing consulting business. Matthew'sresponsibilities included managing projects such as machinery acquisition, relocation, installation, and building improvements.

Prior to their current position, Schwirtz also served as the Owner of three Kona-Ice franchises in the Quad Cities from 2012 to 2017. In this role, they worked closely with local schools and youth groups to assist in fundraising. Matthew'sduties included sales, marketing, purchasing, working with local health departments, hiring, safety, and maintenance.

In 2018, Schwirtz established their own business, Spyglass Home Inspections, LLC, where they worked as the Owner. Finally, they joined Sportsfield Specialties, Inc. in 2019 and currently holds the position of Director of Sales for Dealer Accounts.

Matthew Schwirtz earned their Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Iowa, where they studied from 1983 to 1988.
