Enrique Velasco-Castillo is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in commerce strategy, payments, and transaction banking. Currently serving as Associate Director for Commerce Strategy & Innovation at Spotify since January 2023, Enrique previously held various leadership roles at Boston Consulting Group from July 2018 to December 2022, including Knowledge Expert and Team Manager in Payments & Transaction Banking. Enrique's expertise encompasses digital payments, merchant acquiring, payments infrastructure, and regulation. In earlier positions, Enrique supported the digital economy research at Analysys Mason and analyzed mobile financial services at IHS. Enrique’s academic credentials include a Master's degree in Cognitive and Decision Sciences from UCL and a Master's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Freiburg.
