Simon Winder

Simon Winder has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries. Simon has held high-level finance positions in various companies.

At Spotlight Sports Group, they currently serve as the Group Finance Director / CFO, overseeing the finance team and providing support for M&A opportunities.

Prior to that, they worked at the Royal Institute of British Architects as the Director of Finance on an interim basis, managing the finance team and providing decision support to the business.

Simon also held the position of Group Financial Controller at The Football Association, where they managed a large finance team and provided strategic business partnering and decision support.

Simon served as the Finance Director and Company Secretary at Freesat, where they were responsible for internal and external financial reporting, as well as budgeting and forecasting.

Before Freesat, Simon worked at Chrysalis Music Group as the Group Finance Manager, overseeing internal and external financial reporting, and playing a key role in corporate transactions.

Simon also held the position of Group Financial Controller at Bidcorp plc, gaining experience in corporate transactions and consolidation of financial reporting.

Simon started their career as an Experienced Senior at Arthur Andersen, specializing in insolvency appointments and conducting investigations into the financial position of various companies.

Throughout their career, Simon has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of finance operations.

Simon Winder completed their degree in Accounting & Finance from BPP in 1999. Before that, they attended Stanmore College from 1989 to 1991, and prior to that, they studied at Rooks Heath High School from 1985 to 1989.
