Wanda Parrish

Wanda Parrish, AICP, has over two decades of experience in community development, currently serving as Assistant County Administrator for Community Development in Spotsylvania County since December 1999. In previous roles, Wanda has held positions including Director of Planning and Zoning and Director of Planning, overseeing land use planning, zoning, transportation planning, and development services while managing staff and supporting various county commissions and committees. Prior to joining Spotsylvania County, Wanda worked as an Architectural Historian for the Virginia Department of Transportation. Wanda holds a Master of Arts in Urban Affairs from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor of Arts in Historic Preservation from the University of Mary Washington, complemented by leadership training from the Fredericksburg Area Chamber of Commerce.
