Derek Glover began their career in 2010 as a Brick Tender for Loehr-Glover Masonry Construction. In 2011 and 2012, they worked as an Engineering Intern for Apex Engineering International, LLC, where they organized and transferred data through information management software, worked with computer applications to organize parts lists, and demolished and rebuilt office spaces and managed small construction tasks. In 2013, they worked as a Maintenance Technician for Kansas State University, where they maintained campus parking garages and lots and assisted the head carpenter with various tasks. In 2016, they worked as an Engineering Intern for Harlow Aerostructures, LLC, where they assisted with engineers on creating 2D drafts and 3D models, designed and tested a specialized prosthetic limb, and assisted machinists in the manufacture of aircraft components. In 2017, they worked as a Manufacturing Engineer for Harlow Aerostructures, LLC, where they created new and improved existing manufacturing and assembly plans, consulted with assemblers and machinists in solving manufacturing issues, and reviewed and interpreted various specifications and standards. Finally, from 2018 to 2022, they worked as a Project Engineer and Sales Application Engineer for Wescon Controls.

Derek Glover attended Kansas State University from 2011 to 2016, where they received a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
