James Van Dyke

James Van Dyke has a strong background in software engineering, with experience in various roles at different companies. James is currently employed as a Staff Software Engineer at Spreedly since April 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Pendo.io from June 2019 to April 2020.

James gained extensive experience as a Senior Software Engineer at UserVoice from November 2015 to June 2019. In this role, they led technical decisions for the front-end of the admin console and collaborated with product management, sales, and customer success teams to enhance the product and provide technical solutions. James also played a key role in improving the application framework, styling, and engineering process to increase efficiency in code delivery.

Before UserVoice, James worked as a Lead Frontend Engineer at KnowledgeTree Inc. from November 2012 to November 2015. James designed and developed a single-page web client within Salesforce and curating marketing content for customers. James also contributed to the development of Sugar7, the latest version of the CRM platform, as a Front-end Engineer at SugarCRM from May 2012 to November 2012.

Additionally, James served as a Senior Front-end Engineer at Vocus in 2012, where they integrated iContact IP into the Vocus Marketing suite and created new frameworks for feature developers. James began their career as a Senior Front-end Engineer at iContact in June 2010, where they worked on various web development projects and introduced new technologies to the tech stack.

James started their career as a Software Engineer at Qualcomm from December 2006 to July 2010 after working as an Information Technology Division Technician at North Carolina State University from August 2005 to December 2006.
