Jared Knipp

Jared Knipp has extensive work experience in software engineering and management. Jared is currently working at Spreedly as a Principal Software Engineer. Previously, they held the position of Director of Engineering, where they oversaw a team of 20+ members and managed 3 engineering managers. Jared'sresponsibilities included setting the vision, establishing OKRs, hiring, performance management, and career development.

Before joining Spreedly, Jared worked at Financial Payments as a Software Development Manager, where they led a team of remote developers and oversaw the product and software development of a deferred tuition payment application. Jared also worked as a Lead Software Developer, responsible for various projects supporting card payment solutions and B2B financial transactions.

Prior to that, they worked at First Data as a Senior Application Developer, where they re-architected a debit/ATM issuance processing application and developed internal and client-facing applications for managing card issuance. Jared also worked at MicroBeef Technologies as a Contract Software Developer, where they developed a cattle risk management web application.

Jared's earlier work experience includes roles at CS Stars as a Software Developer II, at Portiva as a Senior Software Developer, and at Corporate Systems as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer and Software Engineer Intern.

Jared Knipp holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from West Texas A&M University, which they obtained in 2002. Jared then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Software Engineering from Texas Tech University, completing their studies in 2006. After that, they went on to earn an MBA (Master of Business Administration) with a specialization in Computer Information Systems from West Texas A&M University in 2008.
