Michael McConnell

Linux Engineer at Spring Fibre

Michael McConnell has had a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Michael started his career as a Software Engineer at Concert Communications in 2000 and then moved on to EDS Ltd / HP Enterprise Services, where he worked as a Software Engineer for over 10 years. In 2012, Michael joined QinetiQ as a Server Infrastructure Engineer for a short period of time. Michael then worked at UK Broadband as a Unix System Administrator for 6 years before it was taken over by Three UK and worked there as a Unix System Specialist in 2019. Currently, he is working as a Linux Engineer at Spring Fibre, starting in 2022.

Michael McConnell attended St Edmund's School in Canterbury from 1988 to 1993. Michael then went on to study at the University of Aberdeen from 1996 to 2000, where he obtained a BSc in Computing Science. In addition to his formal education, Michael has obtained several certifications from Red Hat, including RHCE (RHEL6, RHEL7) and RHCSA (RHEL6, RHEL7) in October 2016, as well as RHCE (RHEL6) and RHCSA (RHEL6) in November 2011.
