Michelle Rojas has a diverse work experience in the field of diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as social change and community-driven care.
Starting in 2015, Michelle worked as a Program and Sustainability Manager at Ikhaya Le Langa, where they contributed to program management and sustainability initiatives.
In 2015, Michelle also worked as a Child Welfare Program Manager at Allegheny County, focusing on child welfare programs.
From 2016 to 2017, Michelle served as a Senior Care Manager at Circle of Care for Families and Children of Passaic County, Inc., where they implemented a family-driven model of care.
In 2017, Michelle joined the Worldwide Orphans Foundation as a Global Impact Analyst, analyzing the organization's impact on a global scale.
From 2018 to 2021, Michelle worked at Hot Bread Kitchen, initially as a Program Manager, then as a Senior Program Manager, and finally as the Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging. Michelle played a key role in creating economic mobility for individuals impacted by inequality in the food industry.
In 2020, Michelle became a Leadership and Social Change Fellow at the Institute for Nonprofit Practice, where they honed their leadership skills and expanded their professional network.
In 2021, Michelle took on the role of Co-Founder at the Corporate Social Work Collective, contributing to the collective's mission.
Most recently, in 2022, Michelle joined Spring Health as the Associate Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, where they are responsible for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Throughout their career, Michelle has demonstrated a commitment to social justice, racial justice, and food justice, and has made significant contributions in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Michelle Rojas holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Social Work from Columbia University. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. Michelle has also obtained additional certifications, including a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021, and various LinkedIn certifications such as Business Fundamentals for Customer Success Managers, Developing a Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Program, Difficult Conversations: Talking about Race at Work, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, Employee Experience, and Service Metrics for Customer Service, all obtained in February 2021. Additionally, Michelle is a Licensed Master Social Worker certified by the New York State Education Department since December 2019.
