Mio W.

Mio W. has a diverse work experience in the field of mental health and social work. Recently, in 2022, they joined Spring Health as a Mental Health Therapist. Prior to that, they worked at KAISER FOUNDATION HOSPITAL SANTA ROSA as an Emergency Department Social Worker starting from 2010. From 2009 to 2010, Mio worked as a Youth and Family Counselor at SOCIAL ADVOCATES FOR YOUTH. They also gained experience as a Social Work Intern at Berkeley Mental Health from 2008 to 2009 and as a Hospice Social Work Intern at Hope Hospice from 2007 to 2008. Additionally, Mio volunteered as a Birth Doula at San Francisco General Hospital from 2006 to 2007 and worked as a Community Health Outreach Worker at San Francisco Unified School District from 2005 to 2007. Their earliest professional role was as a Health Advocate at Iris Center from 2003 to 2005, where they implemented a new youth program and provided street outreach services to homeless and marginally-housed women and their partners.

Mio W. has a Master's degree in Social Welfare with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from the University of California, Berkeley. Their field of study was School/Health Social Work. They also have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science from San Francisco State University.

In addition to their degrees, Mio W. holds a certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) obtained in May 2013 from the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
