Andrea MacAluso

Andrea Macaluso is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the publishing and editorial sectors, particularly in biomedicine. Currently serving as the Director of Outreach and Partnerships at Springer Nature since July 1999, Andrea has held various significant positions including Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Americas and Editorial Director of Biomedicine, managing numerous book titles and proprietary journals. With a strong background in journal operations and acquisitions, Andrea has published influential works such as the Encyclopedia of AIDS and has contributed to the successful launch of the Nature Partner Journals series. Andrea's earlier career includes roles at Kluwer Academic Publishers where responsibilities ranged from senior editing to overseeing financial aspects of journal operations. Andrea holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Music from Hunter College.
