François Mayer

François Mayer is a Senior Editor at Springer Nature Group, focusing on Nature Microbiology in Heidelberg since September 2019. Prior to this role, François held positions as an Associate Editor in various locations including Heidelberg, Berlin, and London. François has a strong background in research, having served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of British Columbia from March 2014 to August 2019, as well as at the Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology - Hans Knöll Institute for a brief period in late 2013. François earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology from Friedrich Schiller University Jena (2007-2012) and a Diploma in Biology from Technische Universität Braunschweig (2001-2007).
