Joy Buongiorno currently serves as a Senior Editor at Springer Nature Group, focusing on manuscript handling since October 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Researcher at the University of Tennessee, where studies on microbial communities in permafrost and fjord sediments were conducted, and as an Assistant Professor of Environmental Biology at Maryville College.
