Deena Ombres

Deena Ombres serves as Chief Compliance Officer for Springstone. In this role, she is responsible for leading the internal processes for promoting and ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, company policies and contracts across the platform.

Prior to joining Springstone, Deena served as Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer at Res-Care, Inc. (now BrightSpring Health Services), one of the nation’s largest home and community-based health services providers to complex populations. While at Res-Care, she was responsible for monitoring & auditing regulatory compliance risks within five different lines of business and in 42 different states; oversight of the Company’s Compliance Action Line; maintenance and enforcement of the Company’s Code of Conduct & Compliance policies; providing education and guidance to operational leaders and employees on compliance topics, and ensuring operational compliance with HIPAA regulations.

For 13 years, Deena also served as Associate General Counsel & Privacy Officer. In that role, she was responsible for identification and assessment of litigation risks; coordination with outside counsel regarding litigation matters; provision of legal advice and guidance regarding general legal issues, employment-related matters, general healthcare and Medicaid matters; provision of various types of contract drafting and review; and oversight of privileged internal investigations. She is a legal and compliance professional with over 20 years of experience, primarily within the healthcare sector.

Deena earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Kentucky, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville. She is a member of many professional organizations, including the Louisville Bar Association, where she has chaired several committees and served on the Board of Directors.
