Justin Stewart is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at SPUN, leading projects that involve data analysis and machine learning to study AM fungal spore and hyphal biomass. Stewart's research experience includes mapping fungal biodiversity through expeditions in diverse ecosystems and serving as a Guest Researcher at both Universidad San Francisco de Quito and the University of Amsterdam. As a Scientific Advisor at Waag Futurelab's MAKE Lab, collaboration with artists focuses on science art projects related to symbiosis. Stewart is also a PhD Candidate at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, studying Ecology, and holds a Master of Science in Geography and Environmental Science from Villanova University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Edward's University.
