Wallis G. Romzek, Ph.D. has an extensive work experience. Starting in 2011, they worked as the Manager of Giving Programs for U.S. Figure Skating, overseeing development, fundraising, and engagement activities. In 2014, they transitioned to the role of Assistant Director of Development for the College of Arts & Sciences at American University, where they achieved a 274% increase in financial giving. During their time at American University, they also served as a Doctoral Student in Public Administration & Policy, teaching various courses and completing their dissertation.

In 2017, Romzek joined Google as a Policy Fellow, conducting research on the policy implications of information, communication, technology, and energy industries. They then moved on to work as a Research Associate at the Technology Policy Institute, focusing on the intersection of technology and public policy, before becoming a Graduate Research Associate at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). At NTIA, they co-authored a research paper on internet privacy and security perceptions.

In 2019, Romzek joined The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory as a Senior Data Scientist and Program & Project Manager, where they worked until January 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Data Scientist at SpyCloud, starting in January 2023.

Wallis G. Romzek, Ph.D. completed their education in a variety of fields. They first earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics with Cum Laude honors from Bryn Mawr College in 2008. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Sport Management from the Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management at the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst, graduating in 2010.

In the same period, from 2008 to 2010, they also earned an MBA degree in Business Administration from the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst.

Wallis went on to complete a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree in Public Policy at American University in 2016.

Most recently, they achieved a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Public Administration and Policy from American University in 2021.
