Joseph Vaiz-Gomez has work experience as a Junior Software Quality Assurance Analyst at SQA² starting in October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the B. John Garrick Institute for the Risk Sciences from June 2017 to August 2017. In this role, they developed software using tools such as Catch, CMake, and Git. Joseph collaborated with other researchers, wrote test cases in C++, worked with command line tools, and debugged in the Microsoft Visual Studio IDE.
Joseph Vaiz-Gomez completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Entrepreneurship from California State University, Long Beach from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they attended Santa Monica College from 2015 to 2017, where they pursued a transfer degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. In 2014, Joseph attended Los Angeles Pierce College with the intention of transferring into a Pre-Electrical Engineering program, although they did not obtain a degree from this institution.
In terms of additional certifications, Joseph has obtained several in the field of Data Science. Joseph completed "PH125.5x: Data Science: Productivity Tools" from HarvardX in July 2022, "PH125.4x: Data Science: Inference and Modeling" from HarvardX in March 2022, "PH125.3x: Data Science: Probability" from HarvardX in January 2021, "UC San Diego DSE200x: Python for Data Science" from edX in December 2020, "PH125.2x: Data Science: Visualization" from HarvardX in October 2020, "PH125.1x: Data Science: R Basics" from HarvardX in August 2020, and "Microsoft DAT101x: Introduction to Data Science" from edX in July 2018.
