Ireneusz Bulik (Irek)

Ireneusz (Irek) Bulik is an accomplished quantitative researcher currently working at Squarepoint Capital since August 2020. Previously, Ireneusz served as a Vice President and Associate Quantitative Strategist in the Americas Special Situations Group at Goldman Sachs from June 2018 to August 2020. Ireneusz's academic background includes a Gaussian Postdoctoral Fellowship at Yale University, where the focus was on developing theories and algorithms for molecular vibrational structure, as well as novel Quantum Monte Carlo approaches for excited states. Ireneusz earned a PhD in Theoretical Chemistry from Rice University, where innovative theoretical methods for electronic structure calculations were developed. Additional education includes an MS in Physics from École Normale Supérieure de Cachan and an MS in Chemistry from Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
