Johanna Z.

Johanna Z. has extensive work experience in payroll and finance. Johanna is currently working as the Head of Global Payroll at Squarepoint Capital since 2022.

Prior to this, from 2021 to 2022, they held the role of Head of Global Payroll at Cambridge University Press & Assessment. In this role, they led a global payroll system implementation and transformed the payroll function by maintaining a group payroll strategy.

From 2017 to 2021, Johanna worked at KKR & Co. L.P. as a Finance Professional. Here, they served as the Head of Payroll EMEA, overseeing the EMEA Payroll team and function. Johanna ensured timely and accurate processing of payrolls, managed equity vestings, and conducted financial modeling.

Johanna previously worked as the EMEA Payroll and Benefits Manager at First State Investments from 2015 to 2017. In this role, they set up international payroll operations across Europe, managed UK taxable events, and led various HR projects.

Before that, they were the EMEA Payroll and Benefits Manager (FTC) at EDF Trading for a brief period in 2015. Here, they delivered accurate and compliant payroll to different lines of business globally.

Johanna also served as the Payroll and HR Associate EMEA at Coach from 2013 to 2015. In this position, they headed the UK and Europe Payroll and Benefits function, managed payroll transitions, and implemented a payroll database.

Johanna began their career as an International Client Account Manager at Celergo LLC and worked as a Project Coordinator at TransPerfect.

Johanna Z. completed their A Levels in French, Business Studies, Spanish, and AS level Psychology at ST Francis Xavier Sixth Form College from 2004 to 2006. Following that, they pursued a degree in French with Business Management from Queen Mary University of London from 2006 to 2009. Johanna also obtained additional certifications, including "Variable Pay -- Improving Performance with Variable Pay" from WorldatWork in March 2017 and "International Remuneration: An Overview of Global Rewards" from the same institution in June 2016.
