Sergey Dovgal is a quantitative researcher at Squarepoint Capital since December 2022. Dovgal has a strong background in research, having previously worked at Université de Bourgogne, where contributions included developing hook length formulas for trees and a new generating function approach for asymptotic expansions of digraphs and 2-SAT. In addition, Dovgal solved a significant open problem on satisfiable 2-SAT formulas while at Université de Bordeaux. Teaching experience includes instructing numerous courses on algorithms, scientific calculus, and programming languages at Université Sorbonne Paris Nord, where tutorial videos on lambda calculus were created during the COVID-19 lockdown. Dovgal holds a PhD in Informatics from Université Paris 13 and a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Research internships include work on log-density estimates at the Institute for Problems of Information Transmission.
